ERP certification

European Regional Certificatio | 2018-12-13

ErP certification is the energy efficiency certification part of CE certification, which has been enforced since 2013. ErP = Energy-related Products, or energy-related products. It refers to any product that has been put on the market and/or has been delivered for use and has an impact on energy consumption during its use. It includes components of energy-related products covered by ErP directives that are put into market and/or delivered to end users as independent components, and that should be able to independently conduct environmental impact assessments. ErP Directive is the new European CE Marking Regulation. As a CE Marking Directive, the requirements of ErP Directive will be executed together with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, radio and so on. Editing Erp Directive belongs to CE Marking Requirement. If the products put into European market belong to CE Marking Requirement, CE Marking should be carried. In addition, some authoritative foreign certification agencies can provide ErP logo for market promotion and use. Does the recognition of Energy Star indicate that it meets ErP requirements? No. Energy Star is an American certification mark and therefore cannot be used as a proof of compliance with EU directives. The only sign that can be used as a proof of conformity is the European ecolabel. Certification is carried out in accordance with the internal design control procedures in Appendix IV of the ErP 2005/32/EC Decree. The simplest and most effective method of conformity assessment is to refer to Annex IV of the EuP Act, i.e. 1. LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) Environmental Footprint Report of Products 2. Test Report Required in the Implementation Rules of Ecological Design 3. Provide the required information, but the most effective method is the first - internal control.
