The American-Canadian Certification Mark of Rhein, Germany, is of the same grade as other US NRTL (such as UL, CSA, etc.). As far as the U.S. and Canadian markets are concerned, only Rhein in Germany has the ability to test and validate products.

German Rhine issued TUVus certification marks to products in the United States market, and German Rhine issued cTUV certification marks to products in the Canadian market. When TUVus and cTUV are used together, customers can mark a single mark cTUVus on the product, which can prove that the product meets the requirements of the two markets in the United States and Canada.
