UL Authentication Agent Scope:
 
 
 
Part I: Initial application
 
Provide all-round technical advisory services to customers to help them get UL certification smoothly. Its main certification projects are:
 
IT/AV products, household appliances products, lamps and lanterns products, wire and cable products, PCB and electronic parts certification, plastic and injection products, label printing products, Christmas lamps and lanterns products.
 
 
 
Part II: Addition of Material/Individual System
 
Follow-up services after customer's certification, including material, process report, change of company's name and address, addition of new production place, etc.
 
 
 
Part III: Year-round contracted services
 
(1) To be responsible for the year-round material preparation and the application for the new process and the maintenance of UL-related documents and materials;
 
(2) Be responsible for UL follow-up inspection and maintenance throughout the year and communicate with UL engineers;
 
(3) Continuous free telephone consultation, UL English translation and email answers;
 
(4) Provide free UL factory inspection training and guidance.
 
 
 
L Authentication process
 
 
 
The product application for UL logo includes the following steps:
 
 
 
1. Applicant submits relevant company and product information
 
Written application: You should request UL company to inspect your products in writing.
 
Company Information: Provide detailed and accurate name, address, contact person, postal code, telephone and fax of the following units in Chinese and English.
 
(a) Applicant Company: A company that submits an application for product testing and is responsible for the full cost of engineering services
 
Listing companies: companies listed in the catalogues of products published by UL
 
(c) Production plants: manufacturers and producers of products.
 
Product information: Product information should be provided in English.
 
(a). Name of the product: Full name of the product provided.
 
(b) Product type: specify all product types, varieties or classification numbers that need to be tested.
 
(c) The intended use of the product: for example, family, office, factory, coal mine, ship, etc.
 
(d). Part list: Detailed list of components and models (classification number), rated value and manufacturer's name. For insulating materials, please provide the names of raw materials, such as GE Polycarbonate, LexanType 104. When the parts have been certified or approved by UL, please prove the specific model of the parts and indicate their UL file number (e). Electrical performance: for electronic and electrical products. Provide electrical schematic diagram (circuit diagram), electrical performance table.
 
(f) Structural drawings: For most products, it is necessary to provide structural drawings or explosion drawings, batching tables, etc.
 
(g) Photographs, instructions for use, safety, etc. or installation instructions of the product.
 
 
 
2. Decision based on the product information provided
 
When the product information is complete, UL engineers make the following decisions based on the data: UL standard, engineering cost, testing time, sample number, etc. which are the basis of the experiment, and send you the formal application form and tracking service agreement in writing. The application form indicates the cost limit, which is the maximum project cost estimated by UL according to the testing items. Without your company's written authorization, the cost limit can not be exceeded.
 
 
 
3. Application company remittance, return application form and sample
 
The applicant signs the application form and the tracking service agreement, and sends the form back to UL. At the same time, the sample is sent by bank remittance at post office or by express mail. Please give appropriate description of the sample (such as name and model). Please send the application form and samples separately. For each application item, UL will specify a unique project number (Project No.) indicating the project number and the name of the application company when sending the remittance, sample and application form, so as to facilitate UL's collection.
 
 
 
4. Product testing
 
Upon receipt of your signed application form, remittance and sample, UL will inform you of the completion time of the experiment plan. Product testing is generally conducted in UL laboratories in the United States. UL can also accept audited third-party test data. The test samples will be returned or destroyed according to your requirements.
 
If the product test results meet the requirements of UL standard, UL company will issue the following Up Service Procedure test report, which will describe the test situation, the target of the sample, the product structure and the safety mark suitable for the use of the product.
