European Union Directive on Eco-Design of Energy-Use Products (2009/125/EC) ErP (Energy-related Products)
The Directive on Eco-design of Energy Consumption Products (2009/125/EC) replaced the original EuP 2005/32/EC Directive in November 2009 and came into force with the approval of the European Union. The compliance of the directive will be achieved by introducing so-called implementation benchmarks, which include minimum energy efficiency performance standards and other mechanisms. The implementation guidelines for each product came into effect between 2008 and 2009.
The requirements of the current CE conformity mark should be taken into account when meeting the conformity of the directive. The ErP Directive covers design, manufacturing, distribution, use, recycling, recycling and heat recovery, disposal and implementation measures.

The current product range is:
In 2008, public street lighting, power supply and battery charger were implemented.
In 2009, it began to implement office lighting, computers, television sets, household refrigerators, washing machines, motors, household lighting, etc.
The implementation of vacuum cleaners, set-top boxes and dryers began in 2010.
European Energy Label
Most of the electronic products sold in the European market are mandatory to meet European energy efficiency labels. BORY provides relevant European energy efficiency testing services in accordance with EC 278/2009, EC1275/2008 and other directives and standards, and provides a complete test report.
What is the relationship between L ErP and CE flags?
ErP Directive is the new European CE Marking Regulation. As a CE flag instruction, the requirements of the ErP instruction will be implemented together with other requirements such as safety regulations, electromagnetic compatibility, radio and so on.
Are there any ErP markers available for product compliance instructions?
Erp Directive belongs to CE Marking Requirement. If the products put into European market fall within the scope of CE, CE Marking should be carried. In addition, some authoritative foreign certification agencies can provide ErP logo for market promotion.
Does getting Energy Star approval mark compliance with ErP requirements?
No Energy Star is an American certification mark and therefore cannot be used as a proof of compliance with EU directives. At present, the only sign that can be used as a proof of conformity is the European energy efficiency label Energy Label.
